VanRiet expands business operations in Germany

VanRiet expands business operations in Germany

The Dutch VanRiet Group wants to expand further on the German market. To do this the intralogistics experts in the E-commerce, Service and Maintenance divisions are planning to generate further growth. Existing sectors such as 3PL or courier, express and parcel services should also be expanded. The reason for this are new contracts and additional projects for existing customers. This strategy is being supported by a new team trained specially for the German market. Van VanRiet is planning an increase in turnover of 25 percent.

“Because of the market globalisation as well as the rapid growth in the E-commerce sector we are seeing very great potential in the German market”, says Rik van den Boog, CEO at VanRiet Material Handling Systems. The company has already been active at the German market for several years. VanRiets automatic transport and sorting solutions are used in this country in the kitchen, fashion and tire industry. Customers are for example Nolte Küche, Wortmann, Deichmann and Continental. VanRiet is well known in the courier, express and parcel industry and delivers among others to DHL and PPL. In 2015 the company generated a turnover of Euro 40 million, which was an increase of around 20 percent on the previous year.

With a new Germany Team, consisting of Account Managers and System Engineers, VanRiet would like to expand these operations further. Its priorities here are intralogistics solutions for E-commerce, as the company has received new orders and project inquiries in these areas. The courier, express and parcel indsutry, 3PL and the fashion and footwear industry should be expanded. The company can look back on many years of experience in Germany and other countries.

Furthermore, the commitment in the Service and Maintenance sector has been increased: This includes regular checks on delivered and existing systems, safety checks as well as reasonably priced spare parts deliveries. By these measures on the German market VanRiet expects a growth in turnover of 25 percent to Euro 50 to 55 million.
